The apex of the orbit, at the level of the annulus of Zinn
Where do the recti muscles insert? Where do the obliques insert?
Inserted in front of the ocular equator, obliques are inserted behind.
Medial rectus action and innervation?
Adduction (towards from midline of body)
Inferior division of oculomotor nerve (CN3)
Lateral rectus action and innervation
Abduction (away from the midline of the body) Abducens nerve (CN6)
Superior rectus action and innervation

Secondary action intorsion (rotation)
Tertiary action is adducts (towards nose)
