  • Encourage learners to develop basic skills in a variety of sports +discourage over- specialisation in one sport \one playing position.
  • Concentrate on the learner’s overall development. Include body awareness, gross motor and fine motor development.
  • Create opportunities to teach appropriate basic skills as well as sports behaviour.
  • ensure that skill learning + appropriate sports behaviour have priority over highly structured competitions. Highly structured competitions are suitable for secondary school children.
  • Encourage children to concentrate on the enjoyment of physical activity. Help them to discover their bodies *potential of movement +its benefits.
