How do Extensions of Time to the Contract Arise?
A
- Due to inadequate information is supplied but the designer
- Results in additional costs or delay being reasonably incurred by the contractor
- Contractor could not of foreseen the error in the information at the time
- Consent or approval not obtained
- Unforeseeable physical working conditions
- Contract works are suspended
- Loss or damage to any part
- Weather

The Administration Process?
A
- Contractor must apply in writing
- Station reason for the time extension
- Stating number of days claimed for extensions
- SCC allows architect to grant an extension when the contractor makes the claim
- It is important to provide notice
- You will receive written confirmation if the EOT complies with the conditions specified in the contract

The Contract Period may be extended beyond the time period
originally specified if certain conditions exist. Extensions of time add
both time and cost to the Contract – additional P&G applies
