Many selected genes, probe based
What is RNAseq?
RNA sequencing
=> all genes, count based
What is CAGE?
Cap analysis of gene expression
=> all genes, count based
What are the two ways of gene classification?
Specificity: based on the tissue specific expression level
Distribution: based on expression in human body
Why classify genes?
Systematic exploration of tissue specific expression
To know how different are tissues based on gene expression
These give clues on where to find a protein product
