To make a full assessment of the patient, it is necessary to:

“I would then expose the patient and complete a full body examination, paying close attention to their skin for rashes, wounds, bleeding, limb sweling and performing a brief abdominal examination. I would do this as quickly as possible to avoid heat loss and maintain the patient’s dignity at all times. If neccessary I would treat any abnormalities found as appropriate.”
