What was the Mayflower Compact and what did it state?
The Mayflower compact was an agreement made by the Pilgrims on the Mayflower that instituted self-governance for the good of the colony.
What was the first colony in America?
Jamestown, Virginia.
What was the second colony in America?
Plymouth, Massachusetts.
What was the reason for the establishment of Jamestown?
Economic reasons. They profited off of tobacco due to their specific soil.
What were the hardships that Jamestown faced?
They faced mosquito diseases, poor soil for crops, hot and humid climate, and conflicts with Indians

May 14th, 1607
When was Plymouth established?
1620
