What was the Treaty of Tordesillas? Who was involved? What did it accomplish?
the treaty of tordesillas was an agreement between portugal and spain that divded the “new world” to end dispute between Spain Portugal. The line of democartion was North to south through Atlantic, moved west.
Why was there such competition between nations in acquiring new land?
