Explain Flashcards
1
Q
Explain the states of matter
A
Solid:Particles are very tight together, its shape doesn’t change, and if you heat them they become liquid.
Liquid: Particles are free to move, but they touch each other often, they take the shape of their container, if you heat it, it becomes gas.
Gas: Particles are all around, they fill their container, if you cool it, it becomes liquid.
2
Q
Explain the behavior of ideal gases
A
Ideal Gas Law is a simple equation demonstrating the relationship between temperature, pressure, and volume for gases. These specific relationships stem from Charles’s Law, Boyle’s Law, and Gay-Lussac’s Law
3
Q
Explain “Pressure” in terms of “Force” and “Area”.
A
