Q

Simple Distillation- method

A
  1. set up experiment
  2. heat up salt solution
  3. when water evaporates, the water vapors rise
  4. these vapors pass through condenser
  5. the liquid drops to a beaker
  6. after water evaporates, salt is left behind

Q

Paper chromatography- method

A
  1. paper is prepped with a pencil line drawn near the bottom and an ink sample on the line
  2. solvent is created by heating water and ethanol
  3. lower the paper into solvent
