Procedure pt1
Participants were show in a film involving multiple car crashes, the film lasted less than a minute and crashes only lasted 4 seconds. They answered a questionnaire, asked to describe the incident. Asked some specific questions, 2 experimental groups asked about speed
Procedure pt2
One week later participants were asked to fill out a second questionnaire including 10 questions

Interested in seeing whether the way the question is worded can create a false memory.

Conclusion
More likely to report broken glass when they had been asked about the speed of cars ‘smashing’
