Experience Cloud Basics Flashcards
A university would like to give their students access to a portal that will allow them to see their own account information and their course results which are held in a custom object called ‘Result’. It should also allow them to submit assessments which are stored in a custom object called ‘Assessment’.
For this requirement, an Experience Cloud site can be created to allow students to access their account information. It can utilize the ‘Customer Account Portal’ template. They could also be given read-only access to the ‘Result’ object and the ability to create ‘Assessment’ records.
Cosmic Solutions wants to give their employees access to a portal that will provide them with HR information, an onboarding process, the ability to apply for leave, and the ability to ask questions. In the near future, they could also require access to other information stored in Salesforce and a knowledge base.
For this requirement, an Experience Cloud site can be created and each employee can be given access to HR information that is pertinent to them, the onboarding process, leave applications, and Chatter for discussions and asking questions. The site can be further developed in the future to allow access to other standard and custom objects. Lightning Knowledge could also be implemented to allow the creation of a knowledge base that can be accessed by the employees.

A company would like to give their partners access to Leads, Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities as part of channel sales functionality. They will also need to be able to collaborate with both internal and external users during the sales process, and access reports and dashboards to understand their analytics at a glance.
For this requirement, an Experience Cloud site can be created for the partners. The Partner Central template can be used to give them access to the channel sales objects and functionality. Access to reports and dashboards can also be provided via the Partner Central template.
Cosmic Electronics would like to build a custom mobile app that allows customers to login and access their account information, detailed order history, cases, etc. It should also allow them to place orders, manage cases, and access reports and dashboards that provide insights about their data.
An Experience Cloud site that utilizes the Customer Account Portal template can be built for this use case. Salesforce Mobile SDK can be used to develop a custom mobile app that can be distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The mobile app can target customers and give them access to the Experience Cloud site.
Cosmic Business School would like to build an online portal for its alumni network. It would like to create a digital gathering space for its alumni that gives them access to career advising, job opportunities, and information about college events and activities. The portal should also allow them to engage in discussions with current and prospective students.
An Experience Cloud site that utilizes the Build Your Own (Aura) template can be created to build the alumni portal for this use case. Alumni can be given access to career advising and job opportunities in the portal. They can use Chatter to engage in discussions with current and prospective students. Salesforce Knowledge can be implemented to give them access to knowledge articles containing relevant information about college events and activities.
A community has low user engagement; no one is interacting with other posts, just their own.
Reputation levels can provide incentive to interact with other posts to collect points.
Users have complained that they received conflicting answers to questions and they do not know which users to trust.
Giving a high number of points for ‘Best Answers’ and creating an ‘Expert’ reputation level will inform users of which members provide the most accurate answers.
A community is looking for a way to reward their most loyal brand promoters.
A reward system can be offered for top reputation levelsthrough physical prizes or just recognition in the community.
There is only one person running the community and help is needed for answering the tons of user questions posted in the community.
High point values can be given for answering questions, incentivizing users to help answer questions.
