- resistance training
- CV training
- core/ stability training
- flexibility
2
Q
what are some factors to take into account for general principle training?
A
- FITT
- OVERLOAD
- SPECIFICITY
3
Q
what are considerations for strength prescription?
A
- training age, biological age
- strength training expeirence
- availability for training
- EQM availability/ location
- past injuries
- current level (assessment)
4
Q
what are the main 4 principles of training?
A
- progressive overload
- specificity
- reversibility
- individual difference
5
Q
what is progressive overload?
A
- this is gradually increasing intensity that improves fitness by stressing the system(s) to indicate that the body needs to adapt.
- stress is measured by the level of fatigue, RPE.
6
Q
what is specificity?
A
- fitness improvements that are specific to training performed.
- training exercises that are done at a high level that mimic a certain sport.
7
Q
what is reversibility?
A
- use it or lose it.
8
Q
what is individual differences?
A
- this is how everyone will have differenct ROM, and different pains.
- you can have 2 individuals that have similar goals but have slightly different training programs.
