- drug is essential for specific DOH health project

Criteria for deletion of drugs from pndf
A
- more or equally effective but less toxic drug becomes available
- therapeutic efficacy of drug is found to be unsatisfactory or questionable
- toxicity/ suspended toxicity or potential abuse or dangerous interactions outweigh its therapeutic value
- disease of drug and no longer available
- drug is no longer deemed cost-effective to other therapies
- drug is fixed dose combination which does not satisfy req. of AO of s. 1990
