Purpose of the executive branch
To carry out plans of action and enforce laws of the country
Qualifications
Must been a naturally born citizen of the United States, must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years (does not have to be consecutive), Must be 35 years old
Order of secession

Campaigns for members of the presidents own political parties. Appoints members to the party to government jobs.
Chief legislator
Vito bills, makes bills laws, can recommend ideas for bills and judicial branch
Chief executive
Pardons, reprieves, amnesty, enforces the laws. Manages the agencies and departments of the executive branch. Appoints high-level officials. Reads department reports
Chief of state
Acts as ceremonial head of the nation. Personally, symbolizes the values and ideals of the American people
Chiefed judicial leader
Appointed judges to the federal court. Can issue pardons, and Misty, and reprieves to American citizens

How is the electoral college set up
Each state has electors that equal the number of senators and House of representatives in Congress
On Election Day, the population votes for their choice (popular vote)
The number of electors goes to the choice of people make (electoral vote)
To be president you need 270 out of 538 electoral votes to win
Why is it used
Chill out a voice heard by the majority of the country in terms of area as well as population. If it was a strict popular vote, only certain states and cities but only need to vote based on population
