exchange in animals Flashcards
1
Q
Why are transport systems needed in multicellular animals?
A
They have a larger size, a low surface area to volume ratio and a higher metabolic rate. They are also very active meaning that a large number of cells are reprising very quickly which require a constant rapid supply of glucose and oxygen.
2
Q
What are the different types of circulatory system?
A
Single, double, open and closed
3
Q
What happens in a single circulatory system?

4
Q
What happens in a double circulatory system?
