Engine Failure or Any Other Emergency During Takeoff-Speed Below V1
- Takeoff - ABORT
a. Brakes - APPLY
b. Throttles - IDLE
c. Speed Brakes - EXTEND
d. Thrust Reverser - DEPLOY UNAFFECTED ENGINE
e. TR Indicator Lights - CHECK ILLUMINATION A/U/D
f. Thrust Reverser - REVERSE POWER UNAFFECTED ENGINE
Engine Failure or Any Other Emergency During Takeoff-Speed Above V1
- Climb to a safe altitude.
- WING XFLOW (if wing anti-ice ON) - ON
a. Accelerate to Vr - ROTATE
b. LANDING GEAR (positive climb) - UP
c. Airspeed - V2 Minimum
d. FLAP handle - Up at V2 + 10kt Minimum
e. Airspeed - Accelerate to Venr (160)
LH OR RH ENGINE FIRE (ENGINE FIRE WARNING)
- Throttle (affected engine) - IDLE
IF SWITCHLIGHT REMAINS ILLUMINATED - ENGINE FIRE Switchlight (affected side) - LIFT COVER and PUSH
- Either BOTTLE ARMED Switchlight - PUSH
EMERGENCY RESTART - TWO ENGINES
- IGNITION Switches - BOTH ON
- FUEL BOOST Pumps - BOTH ON
- Throttles - IDLE
EMERGENCY EVACUATION
- PARK BRAKE - SET
- Throttles - BOTH CUT OFF
- LH ENGINE FIRE Switch - PRESS
- LH BOTTLE ARMED Switchlight - PRESS (if fire suspected)
- RH ENGINE FIRE Switches - PRESS
- LH BOTTLE ARMED Switchlight - PRESS (if fire suspected)
- APU Master - OFF
- BATT Switch - OFF
APU FIRE (FIRE WARNING ILLUMINATED)
- APU FIRE Warning Switchlight - LIFT cover and PUSH
ELECTRICAL FIRE OR SMOKE
- Oxygen Masks - DON and EMER
2. Microphone Switches - MIC OXY MASK
BATT O’TEMP (BATTERY OVERTEMPERATURE)
- Amperage - NOTE
- BATT Switch - EMER
- Amperage - NOTE DECREASE
CABIN ALT (CABIN DECOMPRESSION)
- Oxygen Masks - DON and 100% Oxygen
- Microphone Switches - MIC OXY MASK
- Emergency Descent - AS REQUIRED
(refer to EMERGENCY DESCENT; Tab N1)
EMERGENCY DESCENT
- AP TRIM DISC Button - PRESS and RELEASE
- Throttles - IDLE
- Speed Brakes - EXTEND
- Airplane Pitch Attitude - 20deg NOSE DOWN
ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM SMOKE OR ODOR
- Oxygen Mask - DON and EMER
2. Microphone Switch - MIC OXY MASK
SMOKE REMOVAL
- Oxygen Masks - DON and EMER
2. Microphone Switches - MIC OXY MASK
THRUST REVERSER INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT DURING TAKEOFF - SPEED BELOW V1
- Takeoff - ABORT
a. Brakes - AS REQUIRED
b. Throttles - IDLE
c. Speed Brakes - EXTEND
d. Thrust Reversers - BOTH DELPLOY
e. TR Indicator Lights - CHECK ILLUMINATION A/U/D
f. Thrust Reversers - REVERSE POWER BOTH ENGINES
THRUST REVERSER INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT DURING TAKEOFF - SPEED ABOVE V1
- Emergency Stow Switch (affected engine) - EMER
- Throttle (affected engine) - CHECK IDLE
- Climb to a safe altitude
a. Accel to Vr - ROTATE
b. Landing Gear - UP (positive rate)
(do not exceed 140 KIAS until thrust reverser stows)
c. TR Indicator Lights - CHECK U/D extinguished, A and HYD PRESS illuminated. (indicates stowed condition)
THRUST REVERSER INADVERTENT IN-FLIGHT DEPLOYMENT
- Control Wheel/AP TRIM DISC Button - GRIP/PRESS AND RELEASE
- Emergency Stow Switch (affected engine) - EMER
- Throttle (affected engine) - CHECK IDLE
- Airspeed - REDUCE TO 140KIAS OR LESS
