Bard and Sach’s study of Jim
Jim had deaf and mute parents. his parents raised him lovingly and wanted Jim to be able to speak, so they surrounded him with broadcasted speech, from the Tv/radio. by 5, Jim had no language abilities, but he was put into speech therapy at this age and by 6 was able to speak as well as the average 6 year old. this suggests that broadcasted speech is useless, and language has to be directly heard
Suriname Creole
