Prayers are usually requests to be granted by God. If they aren’t happening they may think that he doesn’t exist. (2 marks)
They may think that God isn’t really omniscient, as the prayer isn’t being answered (2 marks)
They may think God is also not benevolent, if he was then the prayer would be answered (2 marks)
They may think God is also not omnipotent. If he was then he’d have the power to answer the prayer straight away (2 marks)

I do not agree with this statement.
Although they were born into a religious family, it is a basic human right to decide on your religion or whether you want to have one or not. (1 mark)
Making sure your children are religious may cause rebellion, they may feel as they’re being forced into it. (1 mark)
Religious parents should tell their children about religion and if they decide to follow or not then so be it (1 mark)
Why some may disagree:
Some may disagree and say if they don’t make sure that their children believe in God then they have failed as a parent according to their religion. (1 mark)
Some may also disagree and say that as they are children, they are not sure of what they want so parents can decide for them (1 mark)
Some may disagree and say that if they make sure they believe in God now, then they always will as children never forget what their parents tell them.
