How do you answer source usefulness questions?

A

Source usefulness questions (8 marks)
- Two paragraphs, source B and source C
- Include Content of the source, provenance (origin of the source and what it is used for, from an American newspaper for example) and CAT (Comprehensiveness, accuracy or typicality) in each paragraph
- For CAT choose one of the three, comprehensiveness is the easiest (whether the source covers everything).
- Comprehensiveness can be easier because you can say a source is not comprehensive and use your own knowledge to back it up
- Focus on usefulness, how does each factor make the source useful
- Include your own knowledge
