Define Social institution

Social norms are shared standards of acceptable behaviour.
Nature vs Nurture
“nature” refers to physical, emotional, and intellectual.

Resocialization: Unlearning and relearning new behaviours, values, and norms due to a significant life change.

Anticipatory Socialization: Learning and adopting behaviours, values, and norms associated with a future role or status.
