A

University is post secondary schooling similar to college but on a much larger scale. You learn more indpedently on bigger campuses and in big classes
You apply by sednng an application online at OUAC.on.ca but to be accepted you must have high marks, academic excellence and community service hours. You must also have the high school prerequisites for the course you have chosen.

What is an aprenticeship? How do you apply?

A

It is a post secondary option where you go straight into work for those looking to go into the trades. You first have to find a sponsor who will be you apprentice and will teach you about that trade until you become certified.
You apply by finding your own sponsor in your workplace, you may have to write to the MTCU (ministry of trades, colleges and universities), drop off resumes, apply for and research jobs but you will need work skills and your high school diploma.

Values are the things that you hold near and dear to your heart. They are what you believe is right or wrong (moral beliefs) and can contribute to the way you make decisions.
They afect your career choice because if you choose a career that “agrees” with your values, you could lead a happier life than if you chose a career that goes against your values. Ex. if you valued friendship and went into a career on competitive business.

A

myBlueprint is a website that allowed us to plan our future using our individual pathway plan. We learned a bit about our selves, looked at what kind of school, courses and programs would be good for us and looked at the financial side of that career. We use dit a lot because it got us 1 step ahead into looking at our future and we got to create the steps to where we want our lives to go.
