A cluster of traits exhibited by a person who enjoys life and who “generally does things for [his or her] own sake, rather than in order to achieve some later external goal” (Csikszentmihalyi, 1997, p. 117). From the Greek words autos, meaning “self,” and telos, meaning “end.”
