  1. Intervention is likely to fit curricular guides closely.
  2. Vocabulary intervention may need to target other terms interfering with child’s success
    a. Function words, directional terms
    b. e.g. center, before/after, each
  3. LI children are slower to acquire new words, need more exposures and may need explicit scaffolding to create associations
  4. Still need vocabulary intervention to be relevant to the child’s curriculum, academic goals.
