glaucoma agents- bimatoprost, latanoprost, timolol maleate
avoid squinting or closing eyes tightly after
wait 5 min before installing ophthalmic preparations
remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes- bimatoprost
increase pigmentation of iris may occur - latanoprost
take with food
hydrazaline (to increase plasma levels)
carvediolol (decrease orthostatic hypotension)
metoprolol tatrate
metoprolol succinate
valsartan (for consistent plasma levels)
avoid nonprescription cough, decongestants, allergy
carvedilol, atenolol, propranolol, hydralazine, clonidine, metoprolol succinate, metoprolol tartrate, nebivolol, labetolol, prazosin, fosinopril, enalapril, benazepril, ramipril, amlodipine, doxazosin, lisinopril
take at bed time
labetolol (avoids orthostatic hypotension)
terazosin (first dose)
take whole and do not crush or chew
metoprolol succinate, ramipril (capsules; can mix with water or apple sauce)
changes transdermal skin sites with each applicaton of catapress
clonidine
contact lense wearers may experience decreased lacrimation
carvedilol
dizziness may occur during the first few days
valsartan
avoid activities that require alertness for 12 hours
terazosin, doxazosin
avoid sodium salts containing potassium
prazosin, fosinopril, enalapril, benazepril, ramipril, lisinopril
avoid abrupt withdrawl from therapy
atenolol
pt with diabetes be aware of this agent

report any sign of face swelling, difficulty breathing, infection
fosinopril, benazepril, ramipril
donot take antacids w/in 1-2 hours of taking meds
fosinopril
do not remove tablets from the individual individual blister until immediately prior to administration
