how long after birth is the APGAR assessment done?
1 and 5 minutes
what does an APGAR score of 0-3 indicate? 4-6? 7-10?
0-3: severe distress
4-6: moderate difficulty
7-10: minimal or no difficulty adjusting to extrauterine life
how long are they saying to wait after birth before cutting the cord?
1-3 minutes to provide the baby with as much of their own blood supply that otherwise remain behind in the placenta
