Why are the 4 gospels different in their accounts?

A

At one time in church history there was a push to write one gospel for one big book, but the point is to have these 4 different accounts and sing them separately. We are meant to hear all 4, but also distinctly as one big song. It is neither a good or bad thing, perhaps a good thing so that we can compare and contrast and perhaps gain a better a more holistic perspective.
