saying one thing but meaning another for humorous effects
Oxymoron
oposite words appear in conjunction (pretty ugly) (deafening silence)(old news)(hatful love)- using two opposite words together

bold statement of exaggeration, not meant to be taken literally(it’s 100 degrees outside)(im so hungry i could eat a horse)
Alliteration
a repetition of a consonant, tongue twitster( petter piper pickle piper)
Onomatopoeia
-words in a story that sound as it is for effect

A figure of speech in form of irony(its not that bad, its actualy really bad)(my hair looks bad, but my friend says it looks good)
