what is bouldering?
Bouldering is a form of free climbing that is performed on small rock formations or artificial rock walls without the use of ropes or harnesses.
What is the spotter?
The spotter stands below the climber, with arms raised or at the ready. When using ropes, the spotter becomes a belayer with a rope attached to themselves to makes sure the climber doesn’t fall.

Climbing Shoes - Grip

Karabiners - attach ropes to a climber’s harness, a belaying device or other ropes.
Rock climbing holds
Having four fingers in a large handhold is known as a jug.
A smaller hold that only one finger will fit in is called a mono.
There are also holds called ‘chicken-heads’, which are formed by a narrow neck and broad head shape.
Crimps r smaller holds, in which the fingers bend up and the fingertips push down
Dome Shape - This is called a sloper or a mantle
