Osteoma
Benign, protruding mass of dense periosteal bone on surface
Mainly in head and neck
If multiple osteomas –> Gardner’s syndrome (order colonoscopy)
Osteoid Osteoma
Located on metaphysis of long bone
Relieved by NSAIDs
Looks like target cells
Osteoblastoma
Located on the vertebral column
Benign; NOT relieved by NSAIDs
Osteosarcoma
Located on metaphysis of distal femur or proximal tibia (around the knee)
Codman’s triangle and starburst pattern
Chondroma
Located in the small bones of hands and feet
Maffuci’s syndrome –> 100% chance of becoming malignant
Ollier’s disease
Chondroblastoma
Located in the epiphysis of long bones
Painful, aggressive tumor
Osteochondroma
Located in the metaphysis of the long bones
Medullary continuation
Hyaline cap
Growth stops at around 30 y/o
Chondrosarcoma
Located in pelvis and shoulder
Rings and arcs
Giant Cell Bone Tumor
Located in the epiphysis of the long bone
Soap bubbles
Cervical Radiculopathy

Pain: lateral neck
Numbness: lateral neck
Weakness: not detectable
Cervical Radiculopathy

Pain: lateral deltoid
Numbness: to prink lateral deltoid
Weakness: deltoid abduction
Cervical Radiculopathy

Pain: Long bicep and sometimes medial scapular border pain
Numbness: Radial forearm and thumb
Weakness: bicep DTR

Pain: tricep, sometimes lateral epicondyle
Numbness: ulnar forearm to middle and/or index finder
Weakness: tricep muscle DTR

Numbness: ring and small finger
Weakness: interosseous muscles
Lumbar Radiculopathy
L3
Pain: anterior thigh to medial knee, usually no pain past the knee
Numbness: medial knee
Weakness: decreased patellar DTR, quad weakness, difficulty going down the stairs
