the disclosure of nonthreatening information such as age, address, personal information about yourself that exceeds the expectations of the moment
Guidelines for Self Disclosure
- Discuss situations when they happen, dont wait till theyre old news
- Choose an appropriate time and place
- Choose the appropriate level of disclosure
- Share current feelings to create an emotions connection b.w u and others & invite understanding
