What is cardiovascular endurance?
Physical activity for long periods of time (health related)
What is muscular strength?
Producing force using muscle
What is muscular endurance?
Using muscles repetitively without fatigue
What is flexibility?
Moving joints in a wide range of motion
What is speed?
Performing a movement in a short period of time
What is body composition?
The ratio of fat to muscle on the body
What is power?
The ability to use muscle strength quickly
What is agility?
To stop, start and change direction quickly
What is reaction time?
How quickly an individual can respond
What is coordination?
Making movement work together smoothly
What is balance?
To control body position while standing or sitting
What does RAMS stand for?
Risk Analysis Management System
What does the traffic light model mean?
RED- danger is present do not enter
YELLOW- proceed with caution
GREEN- completely safe
What does DRS ABCD stand for?
D- danger - check around for danger but don’t put yourself in danger
R- response- check if the person is conscious and squeeze their hands or feet to get a response
S- send for help- call 000
A- airways- tilt the head back and look down their airways to see if anything is blocking them from breathing
B- breathing- place your head near their ear and your hand on their chest to feel or/and hear if they are breathing
C- CPR- 30 compressions and 2 breathes
D- defibrillator- follow the steps to get an electrical pulse
