What is the purpose of studying God?
We study God in order to know him, not merely know about him.
What is the difference between analogical and univocal speech about God?
Analogical is using human ideas to compare him to, univocal is just stating what God is
What does incomprehensibility mean in relation to God?
We can know God truly, but never know God fully. He is unsearchable.
What is the Trinity?
One God in three persons.
What does it mean that there is one God?
There is one God in essence and there is no other.
What are the three persons of the Trinity?
The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit

What does simplicity mean in relation to God?
God is one being, NOT made up of component parts.
What is aseity?
God is self-existent and does not derive his existence from anyone other than himself.
What does immutability mean?
God’s being, purposes, and plans do not change.
What is impassability?
God is not subject to passions and is always under control.
What does omnipresence mean?
God is present everywhere at all times.
What is omniscience?
God knows the past, the present, and the future in one simple moment.
What does eternality mean?
God has always and will always exist.
What does it mean that God is spiritual?
God is spirit, and we are spiritual beings.

God is invisible and our spirits are invisible.
What is God’s knowledge?
God knows all things.
What is God’s wisdom?
God always chooses the best goals and the best means to those goals.
What does truthfulness mean in relation to God?
God never lies.
What does faithfulness mean?
He is faithful to a thousand generations.

God is the standard of what is good and only does what is good.

God cares for his creation and people and does what is best for them.

God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
What does jealousy mean in relation to God?
It is a praiseworthy zeal on his part to preserve something supremely precious.
What does righteousness/justice mean?
God always does what is right and upholds justice.
What is God’s wrath?
God’s loving, righteous, and just response to sin and evil.

God creates man, man rebels against God, but God sends his Son to live and die for sinners.
What is the Creation-Fall-Redemption-Consummation meta-narrative?
God created the world, mankind fell into sin, but God promised to redeem men and women.
What is the significance of sin in the Gospel?
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
What does the cross represent in the Gospel?
On the cross, Jesus pays our sin-debt.
What is required for salvation?
We must turn from sin (repentance) and believe in Jesus Christ (faith).
What is reconciliation in the Gospel?
Having believed in Jesus, our debt is paid and our relationship with our Creator is restored.
What does adoption mean in the Gospel?
We are adopted into the family of God.
What is justification?
Justification is a declaration by God that we are forgiven and accepted into his family.

Justification happens at a specific point in time by faith in Christ alone.
What is the forgiveness of sins?
We are forgiven because Jesus has paid our debt.
What is the imputation of righteousness?
The perfect life of Jesus is charged to our account.

The deity of Jesus.
