What are protons?
Positively charged subatomic particles, found in the nucleus of an atom. It gives an element it’s identity (the amount of protons is unique to every element).
What are neutron?
Subatomic particles with no charge, found in the nucleus of an atom.
What are electrons
Negatively charged subatomic particles, that orbit the nucleus.
What is the Law of Conservation of Mass?
Mass is neither created or destroyed during a chemical reaction.
What is mass percent?
Mass of a chemical (element) in a compound divided byt the total mass of a compound then multiplied by 100 to be turned into a percent
What is the Law of definite proportions?
a chemical compound will always have the same proportions or amount of each element by weight, no matter what the amount is, or source. (example: 50-grams of carbon monoxide will have 21.5 g of carbon and 28.5 g of oxygen.)
