Because he had faith in God’s plan.

Nephi- He had a vision
Sam- Received his testimony through Nephi
Sariah- Because Lehi was optimistic.
Laman and Lemuel- They murmured so they do not gain testimonies.
What was Laman’s and Lemuel’s reaction to the angel?
They kept murmuring and questioned/doubted how the Lord will deliver Laban to them.
What is the difference between testimony and faith?
With faith we trust God
With testimony we have experienced his faithfulness.
What are the failures that Nephi and his brothers experienced?
Not being able to obtain the brass plates. They were cast out of Labans home twice. The first time he called him a robber, the second time retuning with gold.
How is failure an important process?
You are taught resilience and grow spiritually and learn to rely and put your trust in God.

Failing is essential. Focus on the quest. how we respond when we fail will ultimately determine how well we will succeed. Failing is essential to achieve perfection.

He know we are going to fail that is why we have repentance.
How did Lehi feel after his vision?
Worried for his family.
What was the most important takeaway from Lehi’s dream?
Having faith in the Lord and holding to his words. Also the love God has for his children.
How did Lehi’s teachings in 1 Nephi 10
help him instill greater faith in Jesus Christ in Laman and Lemuel?
The Lord has a plan and knows all things from the beginning. He teaches of Jerusalem being destroyed and the Messiah coming.
What is the Abrahamic Covenant?
The promise of land, seed, and blessing.
What is the Sinai Covenant?
Jehovah redeems his people from Egyptian slavery. The Law of Moses, a set of instructions that allows God to dwell in the tabernacle with them. Scattered if disobedient, but one day gathered again.
What is the Davidic Covenant?
Establishment of Monarchy. David and his dynasty would be kings over Israel forever. Unbreakable covenant- if David’s line did not walk up to the covenant by being faithful to Jehovah, he would punish but never forsake them.

What are the three main differences between Lehi and Nephi’s vision?
Lehi-
1. Lehi is a participant in his dream
2. Lehi gives no interpretation to his dream and has little guidance
3. Lehi’s vision is about his family
Nephi-
1. Nephi watched, but did not participate.
2. Nephi is guided and helped in interpreting.
3. In Nephi’s vision, Lehi’s vision serves as an interpretive backdrop to the story of the Book of Mormon.
How is Nephi’s experience of getting answers from God different from Laman and Lemuel’s experience?
Nephi asks God for help to know the answers and Laman and Lemuel just expect the answers to be given to them. Even when they are told they just murmur and dont believe it.
What is the meaning of incluscio?
It begins and ends with the tree.

It gives us strength and hope because it is everlasting.
