what is an enterprise
a system of many other systems
what is a process
how something is going to happen
what are the system hierarchy parts
supersystem, system, subsystem
system characteristics

steps of enterprise system
business driven (process) > technology enabled (technology) > organizationally supported (people) > loop
purpose of information system
help business processes in order to help the enterprise achieve its goal
elements of information system
data, hardware, software, media (communication), processing (procedure), people

has standardized format for efficient access by software and humans alive, it is typically tabular with rows and columns that clearly define data atributes
unstructured data
information with no set data model, or data that has not yet been ordered in a predefined way
types of software
operating system, application, utilities, network system, embedded system
Heuristic
mental shortcut, commonly used to simplify problems and avoid cognitive overload
heuristic types
availability (easy to understand overestimate liklihood)
representativeness (if it makes sense)
anchoring (evaluate new information with perspective of old info)
affect (emotional connection bias)
