List some differences between Catholics and Protestants
Catholics form their teachings based off of the Bible and tradition. There are no saints or sacraments in the Bible yet they make up a major portion of the Catholic Faith. Protestants only base teaching on the words of the Bible, it is the sole authority of the church. When interpreting the Bible, protestants have a fundamental approach. they take the Bible exactly as it says and do not consider the time at which it was written. Catholics have a historical approach, meaning they consider when it was written, who wrote it, and what it was meant to say at that time not the current moment.
Additionally, Catholics believe in the role of authority. The pope is the head of the leadership structure however, protestants do not follow this same formation.
