Q

What is Darwins evolution theory?

A

In each population, there is variation due to mutations
• Individuals compete for food etc - the ones who are best adapted will survive.
OR
• Some individuals camouflage better than others - those which camouflage are better adapted and will survive (others eaten by predators).
• Those that survive will reproduce and pass on their advantageous alleles to their offspring.
• This is known as evolution by natural selection
