What is evidence based practice
A
conscientious explicit and judicious use of current best evidence
making an effort; going out there and trying to find articles

Need to combine new research with learned things

A

- increased interest in consistent application of quality services
- increased interest in outcomes and accountability by finders

A
Process used to check the quality and importance of research studies.
- Journals at libraries are peer reviews; BLOGS ARE NOT
- though blogs may have important info

What is a randomized controlled trial
A
- Participant; randomly assigned to either an intervention or control group
- Allows us to figure out which one works better
- Measure out which one is more effective
- differences seen in the group can be attribute in difference in treatment alone- not due to bias or chance
