Preliminary questions concerning admissibility of evidence

Shall be determined by the court (with no jury present) with both sides present who are permitted to present evidence and argument about the admissibility of the evidence

A
When a witness has trouble remembering an event, may be given picture or document to aid recollection.
Rules of authentication don’t apply and doesn’t even have to be admissible. Does not have to be produced by the witness themselves
