Q

Explain Alexander’s Law

A

The tendency of spontaneous nystagmus to increase when looking towards the direction of the fast paced nystagmus (intact ear). Acute Unilateral Vestibular Loss is signaled by the slow phase nystagmus. However, by convention, the name of a spontaneous nystagmus is named after yhe fadt paced. Looking away from the direction of the fast pace decreases nystagmus and indicates the affected ear
