Intro

A

-Rights refer to our civil liberties and our individual freedoms, including features such as freedom of expression, movement and association, freedom of worship and thought and freedom from discrimination.
-Though the UK has taken steps to bring rights protection in line with other democracies through the HRA, the establishment of an independent judiciary and more legitimate HOL, the evidence suggests that the Uk fails to protect rights.
-Firstly, then notion of parliamentary sovereignty fails to entrench the HRA to protect rights, secondly, the judiciary lacks authority and open to interpret the HRA.
-Finally, the HOL reforms have not gone far enough in enabling them to protect citizens rights’ or render them for legislation.
