A

Active euthanasia and assisted suicide is against the law, however passive euthanasia is not.

Countries where euthanasia is allowed:

A
  • Netherlands (no requirement to be terminally ill, but in cases where someone is experiencing unbearable suffering and no chance of improving, consent has to be given for under 16 but as young as 12 can request assisted dying)
  • Belgium (if not terminally ill but suffering then one month waits no period)
  • Canada both euthanasia and assisted suicide (Quebec only euthanasia allowed)
