What is euthanasia?
One person kills another with intention, or allows another’s death, for the others benefit

What is active euthanasia ?
One person actions another’s death of the others benefit
What is passive euthanasia?
By withholding treatment or taking away vital-life-prolonging support, one person allows another to die
What is voluntary euthanasia?
The request to die by the person who competently wishes it so
What is non-voluntary euthanasia?
A decision to die by a second party on behalf of one who is unable to make that decision
What is involuntary euthanasia?
One decides to impose or permit death of another even though death is against the others wishes
What is Suicide?
One lesson intentionally killing him or himself
What is assisted suicide?
One person helps another to commit suicide
What is Physician-assisted suicide?
A qualified physician helps another to commit suicide
What were/are the legislations on euthanasia ?
- Illegal in Britain
- 1961—- suicide was decriminalised
- Suicide Act 1961 was explicit that to aid or assist suicide in any way is still a crime
