Louis Joseph de Montcalm

A

He was involved in the Battle of Fort Oswego and the French won that war
The Battle of the Plains of Abraham (Battle of Quebec) was fought against the British after.
During this, Montcalm decided to attack the British alone rather than wait for reinforcements.
Montcalm died the next day because he was shot in the back by someone a part of the British army.
