anamnesis
Also called the Mass or Lord’s Supper, and based on a word for “thanksgiving,” it is the central Christian liturgical celebration, established by Jesus at the Last Supper.
Eucharist, the
A Greek word meaning “word.” A title of Jesus Christ found in the Gospel of John that illuminates the relationship between the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity. (See John 1:1,14.)
Logos
The sufferings of Jesus during his final days in this life: his agony in the garden at Gethsemane, his trial, and his Crucifixion.
Passion
The night the Lord passed over the houses of the Israelites marked by the blood of the lamb, and spared the firstborn sons from death.

Greek word meaning “good word.”
Eulogein
Greek word for memory. In the Eucharistic Prayer when the Church remembers Christ’s saving deeds.
Anamnesis
Greek word for “gift” or “grace.”
Charisma
This food was gathered as fine flakes on the ground in the desert.
Manna
This is also called the Lord’s Supper.
