looked into the speech of young speakers born into London Caribbean communities (Catford Girls Posse) and found that the main choices of young speakers were Creole, Cockney and RP. Sebba defines London Jamaican as a language with combination of phonological, lexical and grammatical elements from all 3 variations. Also found speakers incorporate all 3 forms in their use of language and code switch appropriately and do this with great sophistication

focused on the dialect of youths from a variety of different ethnic backgrounds across London and suggests variety of ‘Multi - ethnic youth dialect’ which has strong characteristics drawn from influences such as West Indies, West African and Bangladeshi + suggest that MLE is identified with adolescent users in wider city of London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester
