A problem in research when there is a conflict between the rights of the participants and the aims of the researchers.

Refers to a zone of inaccessibility of mind and body, and a trust that this will not be invaded.

-Observations should only be made in public places where people might expect to be seen by strangers.
-Interviews and Questionnaires should not ask for personal sensitive information.
Privacy (Limitations)
Very difficult to avoid when studying participants without their awareness.
