The Enviromental Agency monitors pollution and has a signifcant role in helping to reduce the emmisons into the air

  • Lobbying: This is one of the most effective ways for pressure groups to achieve their set objectives. This invloves meeting with and discussing concerns with decsions makers such as MP’s
  • Direct Action: This is becoming more popular as businesses are being forced to make policy revsersals as a result of pressure group action
  • To gain as much publicity as possibe: The gaining of positive media attention. This raises public awareness of the issue
  • Legal Action: They also fight their cases through courts qeustioning legality of proposed actions
