Beneficence

the concept of moral rightness based on ethics, rationality, law, natural law, fairness and equity

different participants are assigned to different treatment conditions or groups, ensuring each participant only experiences one condition, and researchers compare the outcomes of different groups to determine if the treatment had an effect
