Morality
The codes we hold about good and right behaviour
Ethics
Involves assessing the infuences on our own responses to issues whilst also analysing arguments of others.
Utilitarianism
The morality of any decision, to contribute and promote to human good.
Subjectivism
The individual has the right to make any decision he or she chooses, without interference from others.
Situation Ethics
Nothing is wrong except when an action in unloving.
Relativism
What is right or wrong, good or bad, varies according to cultural aspects and/or circumstances.
Nihilism
As life is meaningless,there is no point in having rules.
Natural Law
An innate knowledge of what is right or wrong that is part of being human.
Ten Commandments
A concrete and particular expression of natural law.
Pluralist Society
A society which contains multiple ideas, religions or approaches, and no single view is dominant.
Norms
Behaviours that are accepted from particular cultures, communities or groups.
Mores
Rules of a society or a society group, but are not generally enforced by law.
Identity
Unique internalisation of ethical principles, morality and rule-following behaviours gathered by a number of sources.
Family
Teaches religious or secular identity, values, rituals, ethics and morality
Rationalism
Use of reason as the ultimate authority on all matters including ethics.
Homogenous
Of the same kind, consistent and standardised.
Internalisation
The inestimable work of every human being: something that cannot be lost or traded or confiscated
Authority
Voice of a leader, the law, opinion of majority, knowledge revealed by science,research or history, voice of a religion.
Conscience
The voice of our values and convictions which directs us toward integrity in our actions.
Assuptions
Statements that are believed to be true without any supportive evidence.
Ethical Principles
Ethica statements about what ‘ought to happen in an ideal world’.
Values
Cultural ideas, with importance attached to them such that people work towards attaining them.
Virtue
The highest ideal of moral character
